The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Imagine what it would be like if your whole body was paralysed... except for your left eye. At the age of 43, Jean Dominque Bauby suffered a stroke that left him a prisoner within his own body. Using his left eye to communicate with the outside world, he described what it was like to be trapped inside a diving bell, whilst his imagination continued to soar like a butterfly.
